The Fulbright Lifetime Achievement Medal is awarded biennially to Fulbright alumni whose career, civic and educational accomplishments are judged to have expanded boundaries of human wisdom, empathy, and perception. Intel Corporation Chairman Craig R. Barrett, John Hope Franklin, and Shirley Strum Kenny, president of Stony Brook University were honored with 2007 Fulbright Lifetime Achievement Medals at the Fulbright Association's 30th anniversary dinner on March 8, 2007, in Washington, D.C.
